Development of collaborations with the Whale watchers of Martinique

The Cohesion Project is a citizen science initiative. Its main objective is to strengthen collaboration between the CCS and whale-watching operators in Martinique, engaging them in the conservation and study of cetaceans.

Through this partnership, whale watchers and their clients contributed to the collection of scientific data (photo-identification, videos, geolocation, group size), enriching the CCS database. This collaboration enhances knowledge of cetacean diversity, distribution, and movement patterns in Martinique.
